UNRAVEL

Your granddaughters all have your china
And each has a ring that you wore
Only emptiness hangs in your closets
Only nothingness fills up each drawer
Strangers are wearing your coats now
Your pots sit on different stoves
Belongings dispersed and distributed
Are treasures in some other troves
The life that you wove I unravel
There’s no way I could make it stay
You are held in my heart and I keep you
While I lovingly give you away.
