Artist’s Note: My pieces of visual art focus on transitions and transformations inspired by nature, from the mortality of leaves, to the changing of seasons, to the subtle conversion of water into sky. A dying autumn leaf resists its demise with vibrant colour and an upturned tip in Leaving Soon, hopefulness changes to uncertainty as a lush path leads to monochromatic trees in Towards the Light, and subtle transformations we notice only in hindsight are like water ripples seamlessly shifting into lines of clouds as shown in Silent Transitions.
