Call for Cover Art

We are inviting all artists to submit their work for the cover art of our upcoming Spring issue. We are seeking artwork inspired by our issue’s theme, Seeking Light. This season of transition from Winter to Spring reminds us of the profound beauty in seeking light after darkness, a journey both nature and humanity undertake. Your submission might showcase a play between light and dark, the essence of optimism and hope, or themes of strength and resilience that sustains life through the shadows. Whether your light is found in the natural world, personal growth, or the connections we build with others, we want to showcase your unique vision. We encourage you to interpret these themes broadly.

Please note that the cover will be vertically aligned (portrait style). We’ll choose one piece of art for the cover and will consider all other submissions for publication.

Deadline April 1st 2025

With your submission, please attach a Cover Letter & Artist Statement (.doc, .docx, or .pdf.) that includes:

1. A short biographical statement of 100 words or less, written in third person;
2. A brief artist statement of 150 words or less in which you briefly describe any or all of the following: what inspired the piece, what you hope audiences take from it, how your work fits into (or chafes against) the theme. If your submission is chosen for publication, we will publish your bio and your artist statement alongside your piece.
